Mildred P. Van Zandt, 84, went to be with the Lord November 24, 2007 at Union Park Health Services. Funeral will be 1:00 Tuesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mildred is survived by her children, Linda Smith of TX, Betty (Bob) Garrison of Ankeny, Paul (Karen) Van Zandt of Altoona, Rev. Don E. (Sheryl) Van Zandt of Des Moines, Fred (Betty) Van Zandt of Berwick, Gregory (Amy) Van Zandt of Des Moines; sisters, Beverly Bagley & Cheryl Rumley both of Des Moines; brothers, David and Jack Kern both of Des Moines, Jimmy Kern of MO; 27 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Van Zandt and son, Clifford Van Zandt.
