Debra Abigail Forcht - Funaro

Debra Abigail Forcht-Funaro was born June 11, 1955 in Dexter, Iowa to Nile and Jean (Wahlert) Forcht. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 24 years and was a member of the postal union.

Debra passed away Friday, November 4, 2016. She was 61 years old.

She is survived by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Funaro; children, Brad (Lisa) Lepley and Abigail (David) Williamson; step-children, Chas (Chelsea) Funaro III, Joe (Gail) Funaro, Tony Funaro, and Alex Funaro; grandchildren, Alexia, Isabella, Jaydyn, Elyjah, Quinn, and Hunter; step-grandchildren, Addie Jo, Camden, and Alice; sister, Nyla (Ron) Maas; and many nieces and nephews.

Debra was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Coral Lepley; parents, Jean and Nile Forcht; brothers, Steve and Marty Forcht; and all of her grandparents.

Debra loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially watching them play hockey. She was an Iowa State fan and an avid animal lover. Debra loved nature and being outdoors.

There will be a celebration of life at 5X80 Golf Course, 1086 IA-25, Menlo, IA 50164 on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
