William T. “Bill” Voyce, 65, passed away peacefully at home of a sudden heart attack on Friday, November 23, 2007. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at the funeral home.
Bill was born August 26, 1942 to Lester and Margaret Voyce in Des Moines and was a resident of Pleasant Hill for over 30 years. He graduated from North High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Drake University. Bill was an economist for the State of Iowa for over 42 years.
Bill was a strong and gentle man who will be remembered as a person devoted to his faith, family, friends, music, and occupation. He was a man of generosity and integrity. He had an ability to blend his photographic memory and sense of humor to entertain and amaze his family and friends.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Pat; sister, JoAnn Voyce; brother-in-law, John Carr; faithful dog, Susie; and many loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Margaret Voyce; and infant sister, Lestra. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

I have been thinking of you all week. This was such a shock and so sad. I am now more than ever thankful that you found the other side of your family and that we had the opportunity to meet Bill. Try to take care of yourself.
