Betty R. Hanen, 86, passed away on October 30, 2016 in Des Moines. She was born on March 18, 1930 in Monroe, Iowa to Earl and Rose (Doud) Lowery, Sr.

She is survived by her daughters, Virginia (Tim), Carol (Mike) and Barb (Mike); 9 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and dear friend, Patricia Robinson.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Keith Janssen, Forrest Niffenegger and Darrell Hanen; siblings, Virginia, Margaret, Bud and Robert; and her parents.
