Marjorie Marie Clark
Des Moines, Iowa
Marjorie Clark, age 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Bishop Drumm Care Center in Johnston. Marjorie was born to Fred and Nettie Lyon on December 12, 1920.
Services will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, IA. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2016, and funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow services at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Marjorie worked for G & R Bookkeping as a bookkeper for 65 years. She never retired, continued working and driving until she had a stroke at 95 years old. She enjoyed watching golf and until death she was very articulate and independent. She was also an avid reader and loved her animals dearly.
She is survived by her nephews, Craig (Jane) Clark and Rick Clark; and her friends, Terry (Jane) Romp, and Steven (Marsha) Green.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerry Clark, and brother, Fred Lyon.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Shriners Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota in her memory.

I have known you forever. I can't imagine what sadness Steve is going through. He has lost two mothers now. I know you are telling Ralph and Barb what a wonderful son they raised and how proud they should be. Will miss you a lot.

Marge you were like another parent when I was growing up. I loved you and your spunk. Steve will not know what to do without you. You were his second mother all these years. Till we meet again Marge love you

I'll always be feeling Marge's presence when I'm at the office, and I'm thankful for that. She was the epitome of tradition and grace. A true lady with principals, morals , and pure dedication. I love you, Marge, and I'll miss you with all my heart. God bless you and may peace be with you always.
