A. Gerald Curry

A. Gerald Curry, 86, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center.

Gerald was born on June 2, 1930 to William and Ethel Curry. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War where he was stationed in Alaska. Gerald retired from Meredith Publishing where he had been a truck driver for 32 years. Together with his wife, they owned and operated G & J Ceramics in Norwalk for 5 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Janet; children, Mark (Carla) Curry, Bonnie Konrad, Michael (Karen) Curry and Brenda (Craig) Downard; grandchildren, Simone, Joshua, Amanda, Alesha, Luke, Emily, Ryhanna, Alex, Dustin, Grant, Levi and Ben; great-granddaughters, Jaelynn, Avery, Kendall and Ella; siblings, Emma (Duane) Fick, Wilma Curry and Edward (Nadine) Curry; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Curry.

The family will greet friends Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 12 to 2 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Gerald will be laid to rest with military honors at the Norwalk Cemetery.
