Francis and I didn't know each other long but we were both Johnson ladies. We would put our foreheads together in greeting when I would visit my mother, Ila. I loved her smile and her determination. She loved her children and couldn't wait to see her girls. Rest in peace, sweet Francis. Tell my momma hi.

So sorry to hear of your family's loss. Many years ago I worked at the styling salon at JCPenneys when it was in downtown Des Moines. I did Ms. Johnson's hair every week for many years. I often wonder about my old clients there and she came to mind just the other day. Such a sweet, sweet lady. I know your family will miss her kind and gentle ways. May she rest in peace.
