Rodger Beirman, Sr.

Rodger Beirman Sr., 60, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on October 4, 1956, to Harold and Sylvia Beirman.

Rodger graduated from North High School in 1975 and went on to work for Meredith Publishing – R.R. Donnelly for many years.

Rodger had an appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed bike riding, running, and photography. Above all else, he loved being with his family and his loved ones.

Rodger is survived by his children, Rodger (Stacy) Beirman, Mira (Ronnie) Dezember, and Brys Beirman; four grandchildren; siblings, Harold (Maureen) Beirman and Connie Geisel; as well as many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ron Beirman and Julie Hendersen; his nephew, Dane Beirman; and his niece Melissa Kay Adams.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
