Joanna Cooksey

JoAnna, 72, passed away on October 3, 2016 at Genesis Senior Living Center. A private family service is planned.

JoAnna was born January 11, 1944 in Chariton, Iowa to Dorothy (Wright) and Ralph Lucas. She graduated from Technical High School in Des Moines in 1962. JoAnna retired from MidAmerican Energy.

JoAnna loved her family. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, William Cooksey; three children, Pam Cooksey (Rick Scarr), Carrie (Tim) Neal, Gary Cooksey (Sheryl Leto); and grandchildren, Jennifer Beall and Erik Scarr. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Alberta Rosa.
