David Arlo Miller

David Arlo Miller, 64, passed away October 2, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. Services will be held Thursday, October 6 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines with visitation from 3 to 4 p.m. and the memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Please join us at Dave's house for food and drinks following the service.
Dave was born November 4, 1951. He graduated from Ankeny High School and Iowa State and worked as a salesman and truck driver for most of his career. Dave was an avid Cyclone football fan and enjoyed fishing, golf and traveling with his wife, JoAnn. The family frequently headed north for fishing trips. Most recently, Dave enjoyed time on the deck with his friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Lindsey Hansen; son, Andrew Miller; step-children, Lisa Pryor, Steve (Sarah Updegraff) Murray; grandchildren, Nathaniel and Elysia Hansen, Kaitlyn Chase, Dylan Pryor, Jenna, Cade and Westen Murray; sister-in-law, Janet Miller; and niece and nephews, Stephanie, Michael and David Miller. Dave was preceded in death by his parents; wife, JoAnn; and his brother, Stephen Miller.

Hey Dave, what a blast we had as little kids when we would make sock puppets and play with them for hours. Then we grew up and you were the steady, friendly face at ISU that kept me aware that Ankeny, Iowa wad a great place to be from. Peace and blessings to your family.
