Vernon was a good person with a kind heart. "Back in the day", he was the fastest/quickest Wide Receiver on the Des Moines Viking semi-pro football team! He was a good teammate. What I remember most about "Jeter" was his smile and great sense of humor. His joyful spirit on this earth will certainly be missed. R.I.P. my friend.
