Donnie Veach

Donald “Donnie” Veach, 67, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 14, 2016.
Donnie was born March 26, 1949 in Des Moines to Donald M. and Norma Jean (Ackelson) Veach. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Donnie was a member of the Teamster Local 147. He worked for many years as a building engineer for the Equitable building and retired from the Des Moines Public School System where he had worked as a custodian. In his free time, Donnie enjoyed playing cards, fishing, playing pool and especially spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pam; mother, Norma Roush; siblings, Roger (Toni) Veach, Steve (Donna) Roush, Cris Gordon, Ron (Linda) Roush, Jim (Val) Roush; other loving family and friends.
The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street on Saturday, September 17, 2016.
