Gerald D. Hull

Gerald D. Hull, 85, passed way September 13, 2016. Services will be held at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, Iowa on Friday, September 16 with visitation from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and the service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Chariton Cemetery in Chariton, Iowa.

Jerry was born January 17, 1931 in Chariton, Iowa to Arthur and Anna “Lorena” (Carson) Hull. He was raised in Chariton and moved to Des Moines in 1955 after serving in the Reserves from 1951-53 and the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1955. He married Patricia Bonnett on March 4, 1951 and the couple settled in Des Moines. Jerry worked for Woodford Manufacturing for 35 years as a Tool and Die Maker and in his free time enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children, Steven Hull, Susan Pulley and James Hull; his grandchildren, Melissa and Nicole Pulley and Brian Hull. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Dora Coe, Ermal Hull, Kenneth Hull, Beth Blanchard and Norman Hull.
