Steve was the funniest and one of the most fun guys I ever knew. In high school, we were on the wrestling team together. We wrestled against each other in practice because we were close in weight and had much in common. I wish I had been a better friend later in life.

My deepest sympathy to Steve's family, I am sure he will be missed by each of you. He was so much fun growing up at Wallace, Hiatt and East. Steve always had a smile and was ready to pull a joke on someone. RIP.

Sad to hear of Steve's passing. I remember him when growing up in the Union Park area. He was a friend of my brother Paul but he always treated me nice and let me tag along with him. I remember him as a very kind and thoughtful person!

I was very shocked and sorry to hear of Steve's death. We had great times at East High and at Iowa City. He will always be Pee Wee to me. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

I was very sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I was a fraternity brother with Steve at the University of Iowa. Steve was very social and fun and one of the reasons I joined Phi Gamma Delta. My wife and I continued socially with Steve and friends after college and have many great memories of him. RIP Steve.

Steve was one of the kindest person I ever met and always had a smile and kind word for everyone. He helped us a lot with our Clothes Closet ministry at church in many ways. He would fix us coffee when he knew the volunteers where going to be there and help us carry donations. He will be greatly missed by me and my husband and by everyone at church. I would like to express my sympathy and prayers to Steve's family.
