I just heard about Mary's passing today! She was the sweetest lady! I always tried to get in her line at Fareway. I had a friend that always said she was going to see her friend when she went to shop at Fareway and that is what she made you feel like. So sorry for your loss. She will be missed.

We have known Mary through Fareway for years. She watched me grow up, marry, and celebrated each of my children's births. My kids were sad when Mary wasn't working on a day we shopped. She was a dear, precious woman. We're deeply saddened by her death and now permanent absence at Fareway. We're so disappointed we weren't able to attend the visitation or funeral. Mary was a treasure. We've been praying for you all. May the Lord make Himself more real to you through this time of grief.

Mary was a blessing to everyone she met. She had a natural way of making people feel special. We live closer to other stores but we drove further to Fareway because of Mary! We patiently and purposely waited in her checkout line just to get say Hi and get a hug. Her daughter Jeannie brought Mary to visit me in hospital after I had stroke that damn near killed me. Mary stopped on her way home from work to visit me at On With Life. We are sorry we were not able to join you in person for services but we are with you in prayers. We wil forever remember Mary Wilson. She was a treasure. Please email name and address where we can send memorial. My email is cyfans2@ MSN.com You can also text it to me.(LaVonne cell 515.220-0179). Thank you. Blessings to you as you honor this lady you loved so well. She will always be in your hearts. Love never ends.

We are SO very sorry to hear of Mary's passing. Our deepest condolences go out to her beloved family & friends.
She was the sweetest lady EVER. I had not seen her forever, but my husband had. I wish I would have been able to talk to her just one last time.
Mary was a GEM. The loss of Mary & her kindness has us thinking that we need a lot more Mary's in this world, and we will be working on that! **RIP Angel...Fly high!!!**

Im so sorry for your loss. She was my favorite cashier at Fareway. Sweetest lady ever. I moved to Perry 4 years ago but whenever I was in Des Moines near there I would go in just to see her. Even if she had the longest line it was worth it just to chat with her. She will be missed.

Ever since I was a child, we've always shopped at the Euclid Avenue Fareway in Des Moines. My first job was working around this wonderful lady. She always wore a smile, was kind to others, knew your name, and was always considerate. God has called home another angel, Mary you will be deeply missed. Thank you for always encouraging others to see the brighter side of life.
