Rick, Vicki, Melissa, Jason, and Megan,
I was so sad to hear about Evelyn. There have been so many great memories of her over the years. From going to visit her at Merle Hay mall where she had her ceramics to enjoying those delicious chicken and noodles made by her good friend "The Noodle Lady". I often appreciated her ornery-ness and sarcasm, especially when not directed towards me. :) She will be so greatly missed. Many thoughts and prayers to each of you. Take good care!

Rick, Vicki, Melissa, Jason and Megan,
We were so sad and sorry when we heard about Evelyn's passing. She maintains a special place in our hearts and memories for the way she always kept us connected. I personally will always fondly remember her visits which were filled with curmudgeonly wisecracks, teasing, and a lemon meringue pie for my dad. She loved nothing more than to try and embarrass us and was fairly successful at it, but it was always done as an expression of the care and love she had for us. So those moments are ones we will forever fondly recall.
We wish we could be there with you to express our condolences in person, but sadly are not going to be able to make it to Iowa for the funeral. Please know, though, that that our hearts, prayers and wishes are with you at this moment of sorrow and we will be providing a toast in memory of a truly remarkable lady who touched us all.
With Love
Doug, Marjorie and William

My family and I are so sorry to hear of your lose. I am sure Evelyn will be remembered by many. Please keep in mind that Jehovah God will remember as well, and his memory is perfect and can restore life again as he has promised us he will do John 5:28,29. We can also look forward to at that time never having to die again. Rev 21:3,4 I pray that we see that day soon. It is our hope that these words bring you a measure of comfort during this difficult time as well. Once again, please accept our condolences as you deal with your loss.

I'm as so sorry to hear about Evelyn. She was a rock in our family and missed her wit/sarcasm and visits as this disease slowly took her from us. I am glad she is finally at peace and is reunited with those who preceded her in heaven.
Sending you all big hugs and I am keeping you all in my thoughts. I am unable to attend the service, as Tuesday is Trenton's first day of school, but know I will be thinking of you all..

1930-2016, wow what a lifetime. During this time of sadness think of everything the dash represents. The dash is her lifetime here on earth. May you find comfort in the memories you have of her. Thinking of your family at this time. RIP fellow East High grad.
