Carol Ann Smith

Carol Ann Smith, 70, died peacefully on August 8, 2016 at Parkridge Specialty Care in Pleasant Hill. No services are planned at this time.

Carol was born on April 11, 1946 in Virginia to LeRoy and Agnes Daiker. Carol worked as a unit manager at the Iowa Correctional Facility for Women in Mitchellville, Iowa. Carol enjoyed camping, traveling, flea markets, swimming, shopping, going to the fair, and most of all spoiling her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Mike; her children: Shane (Angela), and April (Blair); her grandchildren: Mike, Tanner, Dallas, Cody, Olivie, and Benjoin; and her great grandson, Ryland. Carol was preceded in death by her mother and father, Agnes and LeRoy.
