Mrs. Rosalind Scott was born July 27 1958 to David and Pearleatha Peete in Memphis, TN. She was the third child of four daughters.

Rosalind attended Chicago Vocational High School where she was a fire twirling majorette. Upon graduation, she attended Monmouth College and graduated from Columbia College in Chicago. She was employed by the State of Iowa as a secretary and later as a correctional officer at The Iowa Correctional Institute for Women from which she retired. After retirement, she was employed as a clerk at the US Postal Service is Des Moines.

Rosalind married Gregory Lee in 1978 and four children were born to this union. Later on in life, she fell in love with and married Andre’ Scott.
Rosalind’s greatest joys included spending time with Andre’ and their children, spoiling her grandchildren, playing with her dog Nala, reading, knitting, interior decorating, tending to her babies in her garden and, of course, shopping!

On Sunday August 7th, Rosalind accepted the unchanging eternal hand of our Lord and Saviour. She was lovingly greeted by her grandparents David Peete Sr., Katherine Peete and Albia Rosebar as well as her cousin Michael Rogers.

Rosalind leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband Andre’; her daughters- Tiaeesha (Asa), Chasity (Dustin) and Sharmaine (Cicero) of Des Moines, Chelcie of Atlanta and Alexis of Las Vegas; her sons- Gregory (Denea) of Chicago, Dan (Cherie) and Eric of Waterloo; her sons she raised as her own- Desmond (Karina) of Raleigh and Ryan of Des Moines; her parents- David and Pearleatha Peete of Chicago; her sisters- Gabriella (Herman) of Memphis, Sharon (Terry) and Denzel (Ralph) of Chicago, Gwen (Wiley) of Dallas and Rosamond of Greenville; her brothers- Larry (Sabrina), Monroe (Carmen), Jerry (Andrea), Dean (Sawnya), Claude (Toni) and Walter (Lynette) of Waterloo; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Rosalind was an unconditionally loving and giving person. She would always give from her heart without seeking anything in return. Every person she has ever encountered was left with a lasting impression that they will forever cherish. She will truly be missed.
