Michael Ray Patton, 59, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. He was trying to resuscitate his wife, Michelle, and he then collapsed.

Michael was born December 29, 1956 to Benjamin and Beatrice Patton in Des Moines. He was a long time member of the Labor’s Union and worked in construction. Michael loved the outdoors, especially camping with his family. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.

Michael is survived by his wife, Michelle; and daughters, Brandy Martinez and Melissa Patton of Des Moines; and sister, Sue Waltz of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Patton; and sister, Debra Fisher.
