Robert McCall

Robert McCall, 75, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Home in Indianola.

Robert was born September 29, 1940 in Sigourney, Iowa. He moved to the Des Moines area in 1960. Robert served in the Iowa National Guard. He was an avid outdoorsman. Robert loved to fish, hunt and go camping. He also loved racing and served as Chaplain at various racetracks. He was a pressman for the Des Moines Register for 15 years and a truck driver for Warner Enterprise for 15 years.

Robert lived his life sharing the love of Jesus and sharing his time with his beloved friends and family.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert (Tammy) McCall, Anita Carver, Matt (Rhonda) McCall and Mary (Chalet) Nichols; twenty-one grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Jane; his brothers, Ronald “Chub” and Daryl McCall.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 12 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Elm Grove Cemetery with his beloved wife, Jane.
