David Schreck, 74, passed away on July 28, 2016. He was born on November 6, 1941.

David had a green thumb and spent many hours tending to his garden. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and cherished time spent with his family and friends.

David is survived by his spouse, Donna Sparks; children, Mark (Kathy) Schreck, Cindy Schreck, and Darin (Jill) Schreck; 8 grandchildren, Christine Ehrhardt (Chris Ehrhardt), Brian Branchcomb, Billy Branchcomb (Madison Branchcomb), Mark Schreck II, Cody Schreck, Sarah Schreck (Laz Schreck), Rylie Schreck, and Nico Schreck; 8 great-grandchildren, Autumn Branchcomb, Aubrey Branchcomb, Troy Branchcomb, Trevor Branchcomb, Kenny Branchcomb, Jennifer Branchcomb, Peyton Branchcomb, and Isabell Branchcomb; sisters, Donna Hall and Sherry Schreck; and many beloved family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Marshall Schreck; brother, Fred Schreck; and parents, Floyd and Lois Schreck.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with visitation of friends and family prior to the service, beginning at 4 p.m.
