Oh how I loved this man. He was a blessing to me after my sister died. He prayed with me, prayed for me. Spent months with me every week having Bible studies with me. He and Bev faithfully came to help me find a way to accept the tragic death of my sister. I could always feel the presence of God when he was nearby.
Years later he performed my wedding ceremony and Ill never forget how we laughed when he accidentally spilled red punch on my wedding dress. Just a reminder in life that no day is ever perfect. But beautiful because of the people that are in it.
Ive thought of him many, many times over the years. I never knew where hed gone. Ive long since moved away from Iowa too.
Hes been heavy on my mind the last few days, this is when I learned hes gone on ahead of us.
We were all lucky to have known him.
God Bless his family.

My sense of loss is profound! My deepest sympathy to the Roberts family. What a strong witness and minister of His word. The bible says that "there were giants in the land in those days." We have lost a Giant, never to be replaced or forgotten.

I can't begin to say how wonderful of a man that Larry Roberts was, his life was surrounded by doing things for the Lord on a daily basis and taking care of his family. He was a very devout Christian & Spoke the way it was and lived it even better. He was a great friend and I will miss him dearly but I know he's walking the streets of gold and that gives me peace . Until we meet again brother !
