I will never forget the first time I met Sandi- she was trying to cram all of Tyler's "stuff" into his dorm room at Simpson, and I was wondering how in the world we'd fit all our son's stuff into that room, too. I had no idea that day how much time we would end up spending together at baseball games, and how much fun it all would be- Sandi was a special mom, even if her son did play baseball for Ankeny! :) I'm sure she's resting easy knowing that her wonderful children turned into amazing adults. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Our sincere sympathies to Kirsten and Tyler on the loss of your Mom. I remember taking long walks with Sandi between tournament softball games, sitting in our chairs along the fence at the games and embarrassing our daughters with our crazy cheers, and laughing all the while. She was a wonderful person and had infinite love for her children. She will be missed by all.

I taught along side with Sandi for the nine years I was at Baxter. It was such a pleasure to come to know her better each year. All the laughs we shared and the meaningful glances during yet ANOTHER inservice..I will never forget! It was a privilege to have known her. I miss her SO much. I'll be looking for her in heaven someday!

Sandi had to be the most caring teacher we got to know at Baxter. She has taught all four of our children and found good in all even if they were the ornriest in her classroom. Enjoyed talking to her about her loved children as well and trips she had taken. Our thoughts and prayers to her son and daughter and rest of family and Duane too.

Tyler, we are so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. I remember recruiting her to teach one of our after school classes at WW - it didn't take much. I think she enjoyed it as much as the kids. Then there was the Sr. Spring trip to Mexico. We all had such a good time. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Markow Family
I did not know Sandy personally but everything I have heard about her caring and enormous heart, I felt I have known her for years. She took my daughter under her wings and I appreciate everything she did.
God bless you and your families and cherish all memories of this amazing friend, mother, sister and daughter.
