Cornella Miller

Cornella “Nell” Miller, age 69, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. She was born November 1, 1946, in Des Moines to Merlin “Zip” and Edna Palmer.

On December 6, 1964 she married Arlie Miller. With this marriage they had two sons Arlie Jr. and Todd Miller.

Cornella is survived by her son Arlie L. Miller Jr., his wife Carey and their children Heather, K.C., Madeline, Claire, and Griffen; Cornella’s great grandchildren Rivers, Cali, Natalie, Giovanni, Kaden and Conner. She is also survived by her other son Todd Miller and his children Jennifer, Todd and Raquel; Cornella’s great grandchildren Ottis, Arien, Jasper, and one on the way. She is also survived by her siblings, Raymond (Sue) Palmer, Sandy (Garry) Logan, and Bobby Palmer; as well as many nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend Linda Culley.

Cornella was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Gerald Palmer; sister-in-law, Delours Palmer; a niece, Randi Bishop; her in laws Floyd and Catherine Miller; Verna (Don) White, Delores (Gib) Gay, and Donna (Gene) Gilchrist.

There will be a visitation held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Hamilton’s Southtown, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will take place at 12 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the funeral home followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
