Harold Hollingsworth

Today we sent a wonderful loving man home to the gates of Heaven. Harold Hollingsworth gave up his fight with diabetes and additional health issues at 8:15 a.m., on July 12, 2016. Harold was a man of many talents. He especially loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He retired from the Navy with full honors and a nursing career.
He is survived by his wife, Kristie; sons, Christopher and Larry; daughters, Lisa and Terri; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by two sons.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2016, with funeral service following at 11 a.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Burial to follow at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.
