Richard Paul Rasmussen

Richard Paul Rasmussen, age 67, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016. He was born on October 28, 1948 to Vernon and Marcella Rasmussen in Mason City, Iowa.

Richard graduated from Lincoln High School and went on to Drake University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree. He lived in Arizona where he raised his two daughters, Lindsay and Courtney and later moved back to Des Moines, where he has lived the majority of his life.

He is survived by his daughters, Lindsay and Courtney Rasmussen; sister, Cathy (Leif) Eng; nieces, Jodi Shearer and Erin Myers; and several other loving family members.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Michael Rasmussen.
