Gloria Jean Jordan, age 76, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Edencrest at Riverwoods in Des Moines.

Gloria was born May 10, 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa to John and Ruby (Duncan) Carlstedt. She loved spending time with her family and her hobbies included birdwatching, playing BINGO, and gambling. Gloria liked going to tulip time in Pella each year.

She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Terry), David, and Norma (Ron); grandchildren, Randy Jr., Dillon, and Jessica; and brother, Gary (Peggi).

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle and her parents.

There will be a visitation from 12 to 2 p.m., Monday, July 11, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, followed by a graveside committal service at 2:30 p.m. at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
