Service Details
Jordis Bergo, 76, passed away June 17, 2016. Services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 10395 University Avenue in Clive, IA with visitation on Thursday, June 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. and the funeral service on Friday, June 24 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel, IA.
Jordis was born November 6, 1939 in Hamberg, ND to LuVerne and Melvin Kro. She grew up in Fessenden, ND and attended college in Minot for her teaching certificate. Jordis taught in a one room classroom and was the last teacher in the school from 1959 to 1960. She married Alfred Bergo on August 6, 1961 and together they had two children.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 56 years, Al; her children, Celeste Renee (Curtis) Strong and Shane Daniel (Kathryn) Bergo; five grandchildren, Kira and Joe Strong, and Evan, Kyle and Lars Bergo; and her siblings, Sandra (George) Sundem, Nancy (Jim) Schultz, Donna (Roger) Sabby and Marlowe (Ann) Kro. Jordis was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Vance.

Even the age difference between us, there are many good memories of Jordi She was always so calm and patient and AL fit right in. I did not get to their house often but,when i did I felt right at home. I was so happy to spend time with Donna after several years and I hope to see her more often.
