Edna Johnson

Edna Johnson, 99, of Des Moines passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 17, at Union Park United Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m.

Edna was born in Des Moines on March 6, 1917, the daughter of Emanuel and Anna (Krokstrom) Peterson.

She lived in Des Moines all her life and was a graduate of East High School. She worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Willard Johnson, son-in-law, James Vokoun, five brothers and two sisters.

Edna is survived by her sister, Dorothy Clark, of Des Moines; her children, Kristine Vokoun and Kent Johnson, both of Des Moines; a granddaughter, Amy Lutter (Brian), of Grimes; a grandson, Jesse Vokoun (Becky), of Kansas City; and two great-granddaughters, Nora Lutter and Stella Lutter, of Grimes.

Hamilton’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
