Betty passed away at the age of 81 on June 11th in Des Moines. She was born December 3, 1934, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Earnest and Margaret Barnes.
Betty was a hard worker all her life. In retirement she enjoyed watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and the Cubbies with her husband of 40 years, Jerry. She enjoyed listening to country music, and dearly loved her family.
Betty is survived by her sons, Sonny (Di Ann) Fees and Jerry (Shawna) Fees; her husband, Jerry Bell; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, and her daughter, Sandra Hall.
Flowers may be sent to Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
A memorial will be held Saturday, June 18, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, at Calvary Chapel Des Moines, located at 606 E. 9th Street in Des Moines.

Me and Grandma Betty got so close when we started helping around the house and going to the store. I loved going to Fareway and going to her house. I loved Grandma Betty so much!
