Service Details
Allen Paul Kroeger, 74, passed away June 11, 2016. Services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines at 12:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Jordan Cemetery.
Allen was born August 19, 1941 in Marshalltown, IA. He served in the U.S. Army and worked in the construction industry. Allen was a Mason and a Shriner, a Hawkeye fan, and enjoyed bicycling, traveling and reading.
He will be greatly missed by his sons, Michael (Karrieann) and Randall Kroeger; his grandchildren, Michael and Julianne Kroeger; and his companion, Janice Douglas. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Faye and Irvin Ladehoff; and many aunts and uncles.

Mike and Randy, We were so sorry to hear of your loss. We have fond memories of your dad as a neighbor and friend. He and Larry built our fireplace and I can still hear your dad's laugh. Another lasting memory is how he enjoyed Halloween fun like having the kids come to "his coffin" to get their candy with spooky sounds and music. We smile as we think of him. May you be comforted by good memories.

So sorry to hear that Allen has passed away! He worked for my father, Frank Tammen, for many years. I remember he always made me laugh. Heaven has received another angel. Rest in peace, Allen.
