Bruce Alan Agan, 59, passed away on Saturday, June 11th, 2016, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston after his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born January 28th, 1957, to Betty and Clifford Agan.

Bruce loved restoring old Jeeps, and was involved in multiple local groups for other Jeep enthusiasts. Bruce was also a passionate supporter of the United States Armed Forces. Not only did he serve in the Army, Bruce also had many family members who served in the military as well. Bruce worked for Chicago and Northwestern Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer until his injury in 1988 that ended his career.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda Agan; his children Sara (Rafael) Flesch, Abbie Agan, and Blayne Agan; his grandchildren Rhylan, Spencer, Ayden, and Nora; his Mother, Betty; his sisters Carol (Chuck) Pool, Carla (Roger) West, and Carma Agan (Bill Recker); his brothers, Michael (Ellen) Agan and Christopher (Shelly) Agan; and many other family and friends. Bruce was preceded in death by his father; his son, Bradley; his brothers, Scott and Clifford Jr.; and his sisters, Jennith and Terry.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, June 16th at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, located at 121 NW 60th Ave. Des Moines. Visitation will take place the evening prior from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the same location. Burial at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery will be scheduled for a later date.
