Marleena Fay Trotter

Marleena Fay Trotter, 51, passed away unexpectedly of a Pulmonary Embolism on June 8, 2016. Services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines at 10:00 a.m. with visitation prior from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be Sunday, June 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Broken Bow Township Cemetery in Broken Bow, NE.
Marleena was born August 9, 1964 in Harvard, IL to Martha (Flynn) and Richard Fay. She was a ray of sunshine who never knew a stranger. Always talking with everyone and pulling those around her in with her infectious laugh. Marleena worked for the Johnston School District as a Study Hall Supervisor and previously as a Bus Driver. Her favorite activities involved her family, grandchildren and students. Marleena also took great pride in her home and the care of it.
She is survived by her husband, Max Trotter; daughters, Danielle Welch and Alexandria (Dylan Scheuermann) Welch; step-children, Ross Trotter and Alexa Trotter; grandchildren, Hayden, Milo, Brayton, Dax and Slayde; her mother, Martha Flynn; siblings, Christine Ricker and David Goetler; mother-in-law, Laverna Trotter; brothers-in-law, Travis and Damon (April) Trotter; and a host of family and friends. Marleena was preceded in death by her father, Richard Fay; and her father-in-law, Ted Trotter.

Max, it is very sad to hear this news. I did not know your wife but am sorry to hear she passed at such a young age and feel for you and the kids. Please know God has a plan for all of us even if we do not understand what that plan may be.
