Phyllis Arlene Orman

Phyllis passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the age of 92. She was born July 23, 1923 to Albin and Esther Lindquist in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2016 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, with visitation one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery.

Phyllis graduated from East High School and retired from Commtron. She has been a life-long member of Union Park Baptist Church. Phyllis loved spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all.

Phyllis is survived by her son, Lee Orman (Cathy) of Cedar Park, Texas; daughter, Sherryl Stoutenberg (William) of Johnston; brother, A. Russell Lindquist (Annette) of New Ulm, Texas; granddaughter, Lisa Orman of Texas and grandsons, John Orman of Texas; Steven Stoutenberg of Des Moines and Douglas Stoutenberg of Ankeny; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dr. Robert Lindquist and sister, Dorothy Mae Lindquist.
