Louis "Dean" Wells

Louis “Dean” Wells, of Des Moines, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 3, 2016. Louis Dean was born on November 12, 1962 to Betty (Owens) and Oscar Wells.

Dean retired from Imaging Technologies after many years of dedicated service. In his free time, he loved to play on the drums and ride his Harley. He was a “jack of all trades”.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Tricia (Eric Johnson) Wells and Dustin Wells; grandchildren, Dylan Wells and Collin Johnson; mother, Betty Wells; sisters, Jan (Mark) Ramstad and Donna Sherman; brother, Rick (Linda) Wells; many nieces, nephews, other family and beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar; brother, Terry and the mother of his children, Patricia “Pat”.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Family will greet visitors starting at 12 p.m. noon on Tuesday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
