Mom always said, “My life began when I met your dad”. They married February 3, 1946 and were truly in love for more than 70 years. Mom devotedly cared for Dad after his 2005 stroke until his death in 2015.

Mom and Dad loved being with family and friends, especially at their acreage near Rathbun Lake where they spent many wonderful years camping, fishing and boating. They also enjoyed travelling throughout the United Sates in their RV, listening to music and playing cards. Mom and Dad were wonderful parents to the four of us and amazing grandparents to our children – each and every one felt a special relationship with both of them. Mom was a very private person with a deep, personal faith. She loved us no matter what, cared about what was going on in our lives, and was always there for us. She rarely spoke a negative word about anyone and was fiercely protective of her family. Mom was the sweetest, kindest, most loyal person we ever had the privilege of knowing. She gave so much to so many for so long. We are very proud to call her Mom and will miss her always.

We love you, Mom.
