Ruth Carol Reynolds

Ruth Carol Reynolds, 84, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at Parkridge Specialty Care in Pleasant Hill.

There will be a Celebration of Life graveside service held at a later date.

Ruth was born December 17, 1930 in Des Moines, Iowa to Willis and Catherine (Peterson) Robinson. She was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. Ruth retired from Firestone after many years of employment. She loved spending time with her family. Ruth enjoyed the outdoors and spent time swimming, taking long walks, and soaking up the sun. She enjoyed hunting for bargains at garage sales and was an avid recycler. She also liked bowling and was a very talented artist.

She is survived by her son, Larry Barnett; grandchildren, Allen Barnett, Brandon Barnett, Amanda Peterson-Schulze, Allison Cole, Carrie Barnett, Katie Dunn, and Jessica Bellnap; many great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmie (Karen) Robinson; and many other extended family and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; children, Michael Barnett and Cheryle Van Wyk; and siblings, Donald Robinson and Beverly Herring.
