Arthur Ortiz

Arthur Rodriquez Ortiz, 71, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Art was born March 23, 1945 in Des Moines, Iowa to Andrew and Thomasa (Martinez) Ortiz. He enjoyed watching western movies and was a fan of NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt. Art lived his life his way, and was very thankful for his lifelong career and friendships at Watters Auto Land.

Art is survived by his son, Tony (Janice) Ortiz; dear friends, Mindy Williams, Nancy Johnson, and Judy Bray; as well as other loving relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A celebration of Art’s life will be held at a later date.
