Dennis E. Van Sickle

Dennis Eugene Van Sickle was born September 29, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Oren and Marguerite Van Sickle.

He worked at Link Associates and was an avid Hawkeye fan. Dennis enjoyed bowling and bike riding. He loved taking pictures and attended the Iowa State Fair every year.

He passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines at the age of 63.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2016, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will follow at Oralabor Cemetery in Ankeny.

Dennis is loving remembered by his guardian, Jan Caldwell and by his friends and the staff from Progress Industries. He is also survived by his siblings, Donald Van Sickle, Donis (Alfonso) Carigino, Tom Van Sickle, Kathy (Ray) Chandler, and Randy Van Sickle; sister-in-law, Margaret Van Sickle; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oren and Marguerite and his brother, Mike Van Sickle.
