Eva Jean Catron, 88, passed away on May 3, 2016. She was born on October 16, 1927 in Moran, Kansas to Harry and Silva (Morrison) Smoot.
She is survived by her children, Jerald (Janet) Catron, Tom (Karen) Catron, Craig (Lisa) Catron, Teri Thomas, Curt (Caren) Catron and Betty (Steve) Wenthold; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Lara Nell Stout, Cecil Smoot and Crysta Harrington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Leo Catron; daughter, Susan Wenthold; grandson, Wes Goraczkowski; siblings, Fayette Walters and Rex Smoot; and her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 AM on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at All Saints Catholic Church, 650 NE 52nd Ave, Des Moines with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines.

We are very sorry that we will be unable to attend the service for my sister and your mother.
Our thoughts and prayers will be with your family. We haven't seen the family in several years.
Again we will be thinking about all of you.
But I need to say she has found who she has been looking for a lot of years.
And may she be resting in a much better place.

My thoughts and prayers to you and your family. My mom passed on April 29 so feel what your going through.Its tough
