Clara Farrell

Clara Jane Farrell, 76, passed away November 26, 2006, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa. Burial will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the Richland Cemetery, near Bagley, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at the funeral home.
Clara was born on June 2, 1930, to Frank and Maggie (VanCleave) Allen near Bagley, Iowa. After graduation from Bagley High School in 1948, Clara moved to Des Moines where she met and married her husband Jacke in 1955. Clara was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Basketball fan and a homemaker living in Norwoodville with her husband since 1958.
Clara is survived by her husband Jacke; children, Jack (Paula) Farrell of Des Moines, IA; Sally Farrell of Woodland Park, CO; Shari (Don) Ellis of Prole, IA; Jim (Vanessa) Farrell of Ankeny, IA; and Mike Farrell of Ankeny, IA; grandchildren, Shawna, Jennifer, Danielle, Amanda, Jacob, Joseph; and great granddaughter Katelyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers, 1 sister and granddaughter, Amy.
