Petra Lucile "Luci" Blair

Petra Lucile “Luci” Blair, age 70, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, Azria Health Park Place in Des Moines. She was born the daughter of Thomas and Alvena Galvan on June 19, 1953, in Des Moines, Iowa. Luci enjoyed reading, sewing, painting, Wii bowling, and above all else taking care of her children.

Luci is lovingly survived by her son Oscar Lujan Blair, sister Connie Walker of Ankeny, James Walker, brothers J.D. Little Bear of Boone and Ciso Galvan of Perry, half-sister Mary Lee Olafson of Florida, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews.

Luci was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Lujan and Alvena Viola “Vi” Galvan, brothers Thomas “Sonny” Holiday, Thomas Galvan, and Stacy Galvan, sister, Peggi Spors, maternal grandmother, Opal Mckeever, niece Melanie Beckler, and nephew Gary Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Apostolic Church, 2611 Easton Blvd., Des Moines, IA 50317 at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
