James E. Manning, 88, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. He was born November 30, 1927, in Oneida, New York, to Charles and Lola Manning.
James proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and later worked for Meredith Printing as a Press Room Supervisor. He was a member of Grace Church and along with his wife, they started the Christians Alone and Amazing Grace singles groups which was hosted many times at their family home. James enjoyed photography, being outdoors doing yard work, and spending time with his family.
James is survived by his children, Randy Manning and Suzanne Manning; step-children, Daniel (Phyllis) Stoll, Jacque (Donnie) Griggs, and Donald (Becky) Stoll; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Augusta Anne Manning; second wife, LaVerne Manning; and children, Debra K. Manning, Christine Anne Manning, and Diane Marie Manning.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Hi Suzanne, I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I never met your father, but he sounds like a wonderful person and father. I hope that you and your brother will have many good memories of him in your life.
