Dallas Tew, 63, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at University Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Des Moines. He was born April 20, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Dallas proudly served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam War on the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga. Dallas graduated from Des Moines Tech High School and enjoyed watching old western movies and spending time with his family.

Dallas is survived by his father, Bill Tew; brother, Mike (Becky) Tew; and nieces and nephews, Ryan, Jenny, Justin, Amy, and Kris. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Tew; and sister, Debbie Schwartz.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with funeral service to begin at 1 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
