Jennie Viola Clay

Jennie Clay, 78, passed away April 17, 2016, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. She was born on May 28, 1937, in Des Moines, to Charles and Gladys Tonelli.
Jennie retired from Firestone after 25 years. She was also a master gardener and gardening consultant for the Highland Park Gardening Club. Jennie was a member of Northridge Baptist Church in Des Moines.
Jennie is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Gene; sons, Thomas, Steven, and Brian (Carol) Clay; grandkids, Tim and Katie, Jordyn and Reagan; siblings, Colleen, Angelo, Claudette, Ann, Sue, and Carmella. She was preceded in death by her parents, son in infancy, and siblings, George, Donald, and Eldie “Tuner.”
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 5 – 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Northridge Baptist Church in loving memory of Jennie.

I'm sorry for your loss Jennie was a wonderful aunt, wife sister, and most of all a mother. She loved her family.we will miss her so much. But she's with her mother and brothers. And her son we'll see her again that day will come so now we have are memories of her love you all
