Johnny, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We were neighbors in late 1950s and early 1960s. We lived up the hill from Thornton on SW 7th Street and I remember having coffee and cookie exchanges with your mother. She was one of the sweetest ladies I will ever know, and I loved her humor. Sincerest sympathy.

I too had your mother as a supervisor when I graduated from ILH in 1975. She was one of a kind in so many ways. My sincere condolences.

My sympathy to John and his family in the loss of his mother. I worked with Mrs. Rafdal for many years at Lutheran Hospital. She was not only an extremely capable respected night nursing supervisor but was even a better person. She was kind, considerate, comical, delightful and treated everyone fairly and respectfully. I will never forget her! She will be missed!
