One of my first Sergeants. Was always amazed at his ability to get along with any one and talk his way thru most street problems. A great example to many young police officers including myself.

So Sorry for your loss, the neighborhood has gotten smaller. Living across the street from the Hansens we always had a cop in our neighborhood, first Herman and then Eugene. Karla, Roger and Karen your family was a big piece of our past and a bigger part of our memories. Eugene was the older brother, we knew was there, always with the watchful eye to make sure we didn't get into trouble. Still not sure if it was his eye or own own eyes that did the most watching, at least for the Youngs anyway. Remember the past and cherish the memories.
