Well this saddens me, I just heard a Elvis song that my mom and him use to love and thought of him. SO I was like I am going to see if I can find his phone number but I found this very upsetting news. My Mom Eva past in march of 15 and she was thinking of him 3 days before she past. I hope they are together.. Nothing but fond memories of Verlin. I miss that big laugh of his.

I am sorry I just heard about this, I moved to Seattle 27 years ago. I played drums for Jeff Brandt but towards end I started jamming with Verlin. I loved his rawness and and fun spirit. I learned so much from him, about music. Not just to play it but to feel it! He was always positive and encouraging when he talk with me. I have a lot of fond memories of him and the many times we played together. I am saddened by the news but I am glad that I had the honor to know him and call him my friend.

I loved playing with Verlin. We had a lot of good gigs. I just kept that old Hammond purring in the background while Verlin did his Elvis thing. RIP

Playing in the band with Jay was some of the best times of my life. I moved out of state so I lost touch with him over the years. But I find myself thinking of the band and all the places we played more and more as time goes by. Play easy and rock on my friend. Just save me a place in your new band.

Verlin, Some people come into our lives and quickly go...Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same. You left foot prints on many peoples hearts, I've known you since childhood, you left many happy memories with your legacy. I hope you get to hang out with Elvis, God Bless you, and prayers to all your loved ones.
