Lea H. Lawrence, 69, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Bright Kavanagh House. Lea was born on December 26, 1946.
Lea loved her family and was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed caring for others which was the reason she became a CNA.
Lea is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Rodger; children, Angie Lawrence-Blanchard and George Lawrence; grandchildren, Stephani (Eric), Todd, Jordan and Ashley; grandbrats, Alexander, Noah and Delaney; siblings, Betty “Punkin” Falknor; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Faith Independent Assembly of God Church, 6001 SW 14th St., Des Moines.

I love you so much and miss you already! I am so grateful that I got to spend your final moments with you. I am glad you are finally at peace and that you are in heaven with your mom and Mary!! I have been so blessed & honored to have this amazing woman as big sister. I know she was with us all as together her wonderful Rog, Angie, George,Steph & I planned her final goodbye to the people she loves!
