George Patrick Brown, 69, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born on July 5, 1946 in Des Moines to Robert and Eleanor (Pritchard) Brown.
George served his country with pride in the U.S. Air Force. Throughout his life he remained very patriotic and carried a deep love of our country. Following his service, he along with his ex-wife Janet Brown, owned and operated Brown Industries Corp. He was a true salesman, always making deals and selling. He also set out to help so many, friends and family members, to which many he employed in the family business. George always did things different from most, unconventional in many ways. He was full of advice, help, and knowledge. He loved his family...so very close with his own father. He unconditionally loved the mother of his children, even after they went their separate ways, they went on caring and loving one another. He also loved his children and took pride in not only being a parent but an advisor and a teacher.
George is survived by his daughter, Audra L. Brown of Surprise, AZ; sons, Aaron P. and Dennis P. Brown of Surprise; grandsons, Robert Paul and Aaron Jeremiah Brown of Surprise, AZ; siblings, Dennis Lee (Kathy) Brown of Phoenix, AZ. and Cheryl (Mike) Lewis-Buckalew of Dallas Center, IA.; friend, Roxanne Matthews; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eleanor (Pritchard) Brown; ex-wife, Janet Brown; and daughter-in-law, Denise Brown.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. noon on Saturday, April 16, 2015 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday at the funeral home.

There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. I opened a tin of peppermints the other day and the paper that surround the mints said Uncle! I'm positive you had something to do with that. I love you and miss you beyond belief. Look after Wendy. You will forever be my favorite uncle! Christy
